The Saskatchewan Sheep Development
Board (SSDB) with its office in Saskatoon, SK has the provincial
mandate for industry development and is considered the voice of the
industry in Saskatchewan.
With five board members elected from five
regions across the province, the SSDB receives a service fee funded by
ID tag sales which supports market development, promotion, extension
education and producer seminars. |

The Saskatchewan Sheep
Development Board offers
twice monthly sheep and goat marketing, free consultation/referral
services and sells livestock supplies.
Other activity includes liaison with government
departments, lobbying for BSE programs for sheep, prioritizing research needs, a leafy spurge grazing
project, and other public relation activities including Canadian
Prairie Lamb Inc.
